The Fire Chronicle

(Atlanta, GA) This gathering was different from the very beginning. As people filed into Breaking the Evil Mirror on June 13th, there was a palpable expectation in the air. Faith filled the room like an invisible weight. What some thought would be just another Christian event quickly proved to be an encounter that none involved will soon forget.

Before the first notes of music were played during worship, the altar was full and overflowing with people encountering the Lord. The service hadn’t yet begun, but weeping and the muttering of prayer could be heard rising throughout the room. The people had come to the altar, and the Lord had met them there. People had come for deliverance and had already gained something better—an encounter with the fire of the deliverer.

The crucial change in the order of service set the Atlanta meeting apart from the others that the ministry has hosted previously. Ed Citronnelli, founder and lead Apostle of World Healing Church in Arlington, Texas, explained, “In Atlanta, we patterned it with the altar of prayer first, so it was not a conference. It was not an event. Because prior to Atlanta, the Lord said to me, ‘What you have seen happening at the church, pattern Atlanta likewise.’ So before anything, we opened the altar.”

The fire came from Arlington. This re-prioritization of the altar of prayer is one of the fruits of what’s happening in Apostle Ed’s ministry in Texas, where his congregation at World Healing Church has been experiencing a prolonged corporate encounter with the Fire of the Holy Spirit.

On Sunday, May 17th, what was intended to be a sermon entitled “When Revival Fire Comes” became a lived experience for the congregation before the message could be preached. Worship began as usual, but dissolved into weeping both on the platform and off. The worship leader lay prostrate in reverence to the Spirit of the Lord, and the rest of the team fell silent. The music director visibly struggled to hold back tears as he tried to keep the music going.

An awareness of the Fear of the Lord hit the room and hung in the air like static before a lightning strike. Time was suspended. Suddenly, a voice cracked through the room as corporate prophecy began to ring out. An usher, and then a security guard, and then a deacon under the unction of the Holy Spirit. It was a service that made the Apostle Paul’s instructions to the Corinthian Church from nearly two thousand years ago suddenly relevant today.

The fire that broke out during that service has led to an overhaul of how the church and Apostle Ed facilitate ministry. The local assembly quickly adjusted its schedule to add extended times of prayer to the corporate rhythm, with a group meeting at least four times per week. In many of these meetings, you won’t find the timelines, media, or the professional worship team that the church has become known for. Instead, ending only when the Holy Spirit says so, you will find people surrendered and postured under the corporate spirit of prayer.

The prayer meetings have been marked by travail, deep repentance, holy silence, and laughter in the Holy Spirit. This change in priorities impacted the local church, but also had a notable effect in Atlanta. “As the service progressed and we began to minister, I have not seen this tangible, pure, raw power of His fire—of His Spirit—in a long time,” shared Apostle Citronnelli.

What made Atlanta different was the intensity with which the power of God was present and manifested. Confusion was released into the camp of the enemy as people were set free from spiritual bondage and sickness. That which the enemy had stolen was restored to the people of God.

The full depth of the fruit of this gathering is yet to be seen. But, from the initial reports, it is expected to be far-reaching. Apostle Ed has taught on deliverance and exposing the hidden works of darkness for the better part of two decades. In the months leading up to the event, he went beyond marketing to teach the foundational components of the spiritual reality of evil mirrors and monitoring spirits.

Put in simple terms, an evil mirror or a monitoring mirror is the term Apostle Ed uses to describe a particular set of documented occult practices that workers of darkness use to spy on and sabotage followers of Jesus Christ. The Biblical reality of demonic monitoring can be observed in Job chapter one where Satan tells the Lord he had been “going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”

Many believers experience failure at the edge of breakthrough. They find themselves at the cusp of opportunities or change, only to have things go wrong at the last moment. Monitoring mirrors are often used to cause these delays. The Lord says that His people perish for lack of knowledge. Believing this means that acquiring and applying Biblical knowledge can save people from chaos and disaster.

Driven by a desire to see people set free and walking in the fullness of what Christ died for them to receive, Apostle Ed hosts specialized services like Breaking the Evil Mirror, Breaking the Evil Altar, and School of Spiritual Warfare to equip the American church in the realities of spiritual warfare that many in places like South America, the Caribbean, and Africa already understand.

Perhaps more powerful, the Kingdom of God was expanded. Numerous salvations were recorded as the Gospel was presented. The altar that overflowed with weeping before the service officially began became the source of rejoicing in heaven as people publicly made decisions to accept the finished work of Christ’s atoning blood.

As Apostle Ed and his team hurried back to Arlington to tend the corporate fire at World Healing Church, it was undeniable that it had traveled with them. The fire of revival is continuing to burn in Arlington, Texas.
